OK, it's mine actually but quite apart from shameless plug I wanted to post that it's for sale only because I've been lucky enough to aquire an imminent RS build slot, so I'll be going from the sublime to the, well, very sublime I guess! bounce

The GT3 has been the most extreme Porsche I've owned to date and although it had been my intention to use it as a semi everyday car, I had started to ration it's use so that it stayed 'special' to me. That being the case I was thinking that it might as well be something even more extreme - and then along came the RS. Thank you God! I see the suns out this morning - may have to amend the mileage on the ad. soon then.cloud9

BTW the RS - already specced - will be WHITE!!!! (Yes it can be done!) I'll go now - I appear to be a little over excited.

Actually white with orange could look good.

I've got to spec soon, not 100% but pretty sure I'll go GREEN, are there any around yet ?.

What colour will you have the RS decals and brake calipers, spoiler lip etc? (i.e the black on the green car, or the orange on the predominantly black car)...?

Sounds, quite frankly, pant wettingly great.

It's specced and would you believe I don't know the finer details!? The conversation went. Seller:- " I've got an RS coming in a few weeks, do you want it, its whi..........." at which point he was cut off by a high pitched voice squeeking "yes, yes YES !!" which was me apparently. Haven't touched base since on finer details of spec. due to time difference. Awaiting e.mail when I will know all.

Anyway, about this mint GT3. I can't hide from the bank manager for ever you know.

Ah, but they seem to be asking a premium - unless VTS ( excuse ignorance but wot's that?) costs nearly £3K! And then of course there's my cars ownership profile!

Oh, VTS is tracker apparently and yes they're asking a £3k premium.

Pugsey,

I would be very tempted as considering the future of my 997C2S (seriously) but unfortunately I've just stuck my name on the AMV8 list. Good luck with the sale.

Cheers - Erik

Erik, you'll love the V8 - I did - but, be careful! It sounds as if you're going new? in which case do not get landed with one of the last 2007 cars even if the dealer offers you a discount. 2008 cars (Sept onwards) will benefit from improved suspension and steering plus gearbox mods and other small upgrades. Funnily enough C2S is on my list as pos. everyday transport.

My friend is in the process of negotiating about a new one. So far its 6.5k off list and its physical.

That's good - but he should pile the pressure on - dealers really want to get shot of 2007 cars. Mind you at that price he could add the Prodrive susp. mods and still get away with an all in price below list!

I'm waiting for a 2008 car. Was offered £5k off the demo 2007 car that I test drove.

Not a 100% sure about actually taking the car but given the length of the waiting list I thought it wouldn't hurt to have the option.

If you're serious about swapping into a mint 2005 997C2S then we could have a discussion.....

Er, I don't think 'swap' is quite the phrase I'd use! but yes, if you want to talk ping me an e.mail with details or give me a call! You're right, when there's a waiting list involved it's a neat trick to keep you're options open.

Sensible to go with RS if weekend car and white would be my choice too or orange. Need to get the wheels sprayed black and possibly order decals/stickers, as I'd read they weren't being supplied with the "whites". Unless you want stay more incognito of course.

Good luck with sale.

The latest news is that the RS will stop production (according to a guy with Porsche) after 2007! Will try to get hold of more info.....
