There was a thread on this the other day with loads of suggestions - worth searching it out.

I'm 33 with a 02 C2 in the Aberdeenshire area and I'm £495 with Direct line.

Admiral were the cheapest by a long shot for my 06 997s. £1100 - fully comp, 5 yrs NCD, London based etc.. However, I was put off by the fact that they have the right to veto your choice of bodyshop or repairshop thus totally invalidating your warranty. Check the small print on all the generic insurers. Opted for Zurich through Cheam insurance - pricey but totally bullet proof inc GAP etc.. Good luck

I use Elephant, so far have always been the cheapest for me.

I'm 24 and Aberdeenshire based, car is a Mk 2 GT3, I think it's 5 or 6 years no claims and it works out about £650 approx. I recently changed from a C4S and received a £180 refund, go figure!!
Good luck,

Keith.

I use direct Line for my 964. But Porsche Insurance for my GT3. I found by reading the small print in the policies that the cheaper insurances only paid out up to £50k readit

Might be worth looking out for.

just note there is usualy a corelation between the cheapest quotes and the most hassle if you need to claim. With this type of car go for the best policy you can afford A-plan on here are great and they know there stuff Darren knows porsche well and will sell you good cover from a number of insurers Chubb, R&SA and NU, I went with R&SA and they were also the best value.

I would second the recommendation for A-plan. I range of quotes I got when shopping around at the start of the year (new C4S, 7 years' NCB, age 42) was astonishing; the most expensive - for one of the least good policies - was around 3x the cheapest. In the end, A-plan was one of the two most competitive, with one of the best policies. Making sure that any repairs can be done at a Porsche-approved repairer is crucial, in my view; not all policies (Admiral included?) would allow this.
