It's cat c. Sorry but the car isn't cheap enough for it to be worth it.
However based on the car it looks nice, if it wasn't for the write off I'd be saying have a really good look round and if it's right buy it.
I would be seriously concerned about a cat c of a car of that value, even if it has been done right (and the only way it will is by someone at home who doesn't charge for they're time) I cannot imagine too many people taking the job on on a car worth a couple of grand.
I'm surprised about what you say with regard to the sunroof though? I never had any issues at all, the tailgates squeak but that is a sign of worn pins and can be rectified cheaply.

No.
134k whilst fine for one of these cars isn't low enough to command a premium.
I echo the statement on the write off - if it was Cat D maybe, but C is potentially quite serious and either way you'll find the stigma very hard to sell on (I speak from experience of my mint 205 GTi which turned out to be an undeclared write off and sold for half it's purcahse price
)
I think the 924S is a good choice (as good as a 2.5 944 from what I hear and even better value) however there are enough solid examples for not much more to walk away.
....maybe if the guy will take a £1000 offer? I don't think that's unreasonable at all. Mine only sold for a couple of hundred mroe than that on the grounds of an oil leak.
