How much for a complete 964/993 (cab) respray?
Discussion
Anyone know how much it would cost to completely respray a 964/993 cab? Has anyone done it? I'm wondering if you could buy a car in an undesirable colour (and at a cheaper price) and, by doing the respray to a desirable colour, actually make the work pay for itself - leaving me with the additional benefit of a shiny newly painted car.

Resale will probably be affected as its had a colour change on log book ?
Too many questions.....Has it been accident damaged and then resprayed a different colour ?
It would have to be 10K difference in price.
Would imagine a full respray will set you back between 4K and 10K depending on who does it and just paying 10K doesent mean its the best.

The problem with a colour change is that it's obvious - unless you spend a fortune to remove everything from the shell and have it dipped. 9m have been quoting prices recently for rebuilding a C2 donor to RS spec by doing exactly that - and they are talking £25K. Admittedly that may include some engine remedial work too but I reckon you'd be lucky to get change from £15K just to do the body properly.
My car has been colour changed but I'm not rushing to spend that sort of money to fix a bit of white paint in the engine compartment.

False economy.
Stigma attached to colour changed cars. Even one fully resprayed in its original colour will raise questions.
Effectively, you would be spending money to reduce its value.
