993 MOT

I have an MOT coming due on my 993 in 2 months. This first with me. Viewing a few forums recently it would seem passing might be more of a challenge that I had expected. Car is fully serviced and A1 as far as I'm aware but I have read in several places recently that u have to need to target MOT stations that are sympathetic/understanding of these cars, engines must be run hot or they will fail emissions. Any experience/advice out there most welcome. Had just assumed I could run down to my local MOT station and it would be a formality? I'm Sevenoaks, Kent based.

Er, took mine for the last couple of years and it easily passes emissions.

Should not be a problem. Just take it to your local MOT place, which ever is cheaper.

Took mine to the local Lex Autocentre last time. No problems at all.
