Tony Bliar expects us to pay £600 for a black box ?
I don't think so !

Have a look at this.

Yes. Shocking isn't it. I have just posted up a thread on Scoobynet highlighting this. The only thing that will stop this lot is a French style protest. Or vote them OUT!

The DfT even calculated that 15 per cent of motorists would require "debt management" and debt collectors would be needed to deal with three per cent of drivers. Much of this work would be co-ordinated by an enforcement agency and a fraud detector would also be engaged.

Surely if they think they will need debt collectors this suggests its a bad idea?

This policy, if introduced will be the final nail in Blair’s coffin

Particularly when just putting the tax on petrol/diesel gets them the money in an unavoidable way, and it's even collected for them by the petrol-sellers. Problem is then that they can't track us wherever we go - obviously one of their aims.

Yes. Despite their denials tracking law abiding citizens is the aim of this totalitarian regime. the ACPO are also keen on this aspect of road charging.

I like the bit where someone in the government said they were going to ignore the petition signed by 1.5M or more citizens. I must have missed something; doesn't the government consist of elected representatives? Representative being the operative word?

Wonder how the black box would fare if it accidentally fell into an 800W microwave oven for a minute or two...

If just 3% of drivers refused/failed to pay, an ARMY of debt collectors would be required to collect unpaid tolls. In my view unenforcable .

Have the government considered the scenario if the 1.5 million who have signed the Downing Street petition simply refused to comply. What are they going to do then ?

Bliar and his cronies need to understand that they govern by CONSENT, and that as far as road charging is concerned they are in a no win situation.

The British motoring Public will NEVER submit to being "tracked" by this or any other government .

The sooner Bliar/Cameron and any of their supporters realise that , the better .
