Refunded warranty ?

With sadness I must report the demise of my much loved 996 t, it was confirmed today that it`s to be written off after hitting a mature oak the Thursday of the snowflakes.( The eighth I think)

I`m wondering if any part of the one year extended O P warranty I bought only day`s before the accident is redeemable, I contacted the OPC with this question this afternoon , a very helpful chap said he`d make enquiries and call me back with an answer tomorrow.

Any ideas guys ?

Do you have the policy document? It's an insurance, so do the docs give an idea of what your rights are to cancel early or back out in the first 14 days etc.

With our (non opc) scheme you have 14 days from the day after the warranty is signed to cancel and any cancelation must be received in writing within the specified time period. (Pure life policies have a 30 day cancelation period).

Under FSA guidelines I would imagine most policies are going to be about the same. It looks like you will have to contact the insureers in writing ASAP.

If you are too late they may consider putting your policy on hold and re-implementing it on another vehicle under the circumstances, something for you to suggest.

You are entitled to a full refund. As far as I can remember you have to notify them in writing before 21days?? Hope this helps.......
