Good Price - Its actually strange seeing such great cars change hands for this type of money nowadys. I saw a 99 Ferrari 360 going for £49k and thought "Bloody Hell", times are changing.

Edit - Felt similar with my Lotus when it had to go even though it let me down countless amount of times, Sad but very True.

If you think posting the ad is emotional, wait until you see the bloke you've just sold it to driving away in it.

I think you have it at a fair price for a quick sell, Its a 1998 afterall with a highish mileage - what i have found - If you really want to sell a car QUICKLY - You need to put it out there at a competitive price - Yes its heartbreaking and you feel ripped off BUT if it has to go then it has to go. Basic 98-99s are starting at £23K on the Autotrader.

Not sure what the "book" says it worth but no doubt someone will find it.

Thunderfoot maybe you should keep it, looks like a great car in great condition and regular maintenance and warranty should see you with another 59k enjoyable miles. Don't see what else you can get for the sort of money you're prepared to sell for, and why hand someone else the convenience of your investment?

PS: re £23k specials, there are good cars and... well, there are £23k specials on Autotrader.

I agree Ducati BUT the fact is not many people will pay top dollar for a 9year old car close to 60kmiles? I actually agree with tracer.smart that maybe you should keep it and tuck it up in the garage as a weekend toy.

It surely looks a beautiful car, that it without doubt.

The warranty also makes it attractive. But this is surely the crux nes pas?

The car will not be warranteable once it hits its tenth year. This means that it will not be able to have the official OPC warranty renewed after next year.

This appears to be hitting the value of early 996s, espcially in view of worries over cylinder lining issues.

In view of that, 26k is a fair price for what appears to be a superior example of this kind of car.

27.5k to 30k would appear highly optimistic IMO.

Might be a sad day for you, but its gonna be happy day for someone when they buy that of you. Looks like a great example of a pre-facelift 996.
