Our boxster doesn't get a lot of use and the battery is often dead and I think the RAC are getting fed up with me asking for a jump start.

They said to get a booster from Halfords and this looks like a good idea. Are there any issues with using a booster?

Yes I have one but the only problem is that the local kids break into cars at any oppoprtunity so would see this (we have no garage) plugged in and would doubtless smash the window to get it. Only cost £10 from Maplins!

A booster pack shouldn't be a problem. You might want to think about a new battery (Bosch or Varta); that will at least give you maximum time before it goes down again. Or you could always go to the trouble of driving the car once a week!
