I had the window open and could hear something creaking from behind me somewhere when I was moving the clutch in or out. The engine was on at the time, with the engine off I couldn't really hear anything.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

I am pretty sure there was no creaking before today.

Cheers for that chaps - much appreciated. I do hope you weren't up for ages before you posted at 6:21am on a monday morning Michael ...

edited to add some numpty questions:

I assume it o.k. to drive it to the garage ?

I had a new clutch fitted before Christmas, is it worth taking it back to the Indy I got it fitted at (3 hours round trip), or is it completely unrelated to the new clutch (or cheap to fix) and my local Indy is fine (both very good Indies IMHO).
