996 Turbo Cab??

I take it the cabrio will be based on the new 997 model. If not, I would wait for the new car instead. Otherwise it looks like the fastest way to loose 25k.

I am back from having my car serviced.I asked about the 996TT cab.Apparently one of the technicians swears he saw one at the factory on a visit last week.Frustratingly the sales guys say they do not have a definite that it is actually going into production yet....but feel it is more than likely.
the 996TT will be kept going until 997 arrives and it always takes at least 18 months plus for a coupe turbo to appear,let alone a cab.

The 996 C4S Cab and 996TT Cab will apparently be launched in Aug/Sep for the 2004 model year. OPC have confirmed it. Autocar have printed spy photos of the car also. The TT cab may have a different spoiler (possibly the one from the Turbo Aerkoit) to the standard 996TT due to change in aerodynamics that chopping the roof off causes.

Incidentally, I have it on good authority that Porsche AG secretly built 12 993 Turbo cabrios in 1995. Have never seen one though.

The rennlist boys have gone into some detail on the fabled 993TT cabs,,,worth a search if interested.
I really would prefer a Coupe to a cab any day of the week.
