Following on from the Gulf Blue Cayman thread.

Do we think that Porsche would now do a Gulf Blue RS with Orange wheels and decals.

My final spec date is Friday so I'm gonna speak to them in the morning.

A figure of £2200 was put up for special colours which is 'only' £700 more than Green.

Do 'special' colours extend the 16 week delivery ?.

The special colours do extend delivery time apparently.

It's all a question of application. On some things, I imagine that colour scheme could look very nice indeed. You know...sort of SteeveMcQueeny.

Though I'm inclined to agree with your assessment on the pictured 996. That just hurt my eyes.

Isn't that just a vanwrap on the gumball car?

Personally that would be my approach were I to want such a paint job. That way it can be taken off later to sell the car

I do like that powder blue type colour you sometimes see on Rufs. Very nice.

Back to the OP. I was told that if i wanted to order a special colour then the order (for the colour only) would have to be placed 4 months sooner than the order for the remainder of the optional extras.
I'm pretty sure Porsche will NOT do Gulf blue for the special order colour price of £2200.
I was told they cant match the colour on different body panels and materials - sounds like a poor excuse to me!

sound like nonsense, if they will "colour to sample" a car a shocking pink to match a girls favourite lipstick why not an old Porsche colour
