Just picked my 964 up from having new front discs and pads and a new MOT. Great drive home and after spending the winter under cover had forgotten what fun she is.
Advertised her on ebay last week and the auction ends tomorrow (item number 290094156636) Already reached the reserve so will sell, but tempted to remove the listing and keep her. Dilemma... got good reasons to sell, need the space with 6 cars in the family, dont get the chance to drive her as often as I should and could do with the money....but... need some good reasons to keep her....any thoughts? confused

it's a great colour with a good history, but on the other hand it look like the car's going to make good money, and if you're not driving it much....

i say sell but get another porsche soon.

will you be sharing any profits with hoges junior?

I say keep her. You'll regret it the moment you sell it & then have to fork out more ££££ on a potentially inferior car that is not known to you.

it's a good point that you KNOW this is a good car - and finding another good 964 or even 993 won't be easy. so it's probably about whether you're likely to want another in the near future...

And the reasons :

Have you ever seen a better looking 964 ?
You know its sorted
Its a very well known car in Porsche circles with provenence
If you keep it I can drive it now and then
Youve got £ thousands in Zymol invested in it

Thought about that....my wife has a figaro as her toy, 500 miles in the last 12 months, but dont think there is any chance of her selling...could suggest it but dont think she would be happy. furious

C2S should be ready today once OPC have fitted the windscreen. I'm resisting temptation (ish) and will be collecting it in the morning.

By the way, I'm in the market for some Zymol products...or we could do a deal on some detailing! I've heard you're pretty good biglaugh

Edited to add: By the way I'm ignoring the comment about the Boxster.

you must have a size 14 carbon footprint.

they can't all be yours. presumably some belong to grown-up children. could you not ask one or two of them politely to bugger off and buy their own house/garage so you don't have to sell?

You make it sound like you have the choice between 2 cars, whereas you said you had 6!! What about one of the other 4....

Now that would be fantastic... but probably just a dream. Anyone want 2 children (with cars)?

Must admit a weakness for the older 525!!
So you and the wife have two cars and the kids have one each = 6.
You said you need the space, not the money (Charge your kids more rent?) and you have a people carrier?

So you are keeping the people carrier and selling the Porsche confused

As a family of 4 you can surely all fit into any of your 6 cars anyway, 5 people can get in the 525, so it's clear to me now which one has to go, and it's not the 964
