Quick to complain, so quick to praise imho.

Sutton Coldfield parts dept. get a big thumbs up from me. Went in today to fetch a small rubber grommet and associated screw and washer (it holds down a bit of plastic trim). Went in and explained to the parts chap what I needed, off he went to look at his exploded diagrams and came back with the correct bit. Tells me I can have it foc, I look at him with a bit of an odd look on my face, say thank you and run! It seems that this gets replaced at services on a regular basis as it's well know for breaking up in situ.

Well done to Sutton Coldfield Parts Dept.

That is indeed the blighter in question. It's not so much the value, as the fact that it was a pleasant surprise not to be charged. Maybe I'll keep popping in for them and sell them onto you for 50p a piece

That's nothing! OPC Solihull gave me a screw that locates the brake disc FOC. It costs 30p and wasn't worth firing up the computer to print an invoice. Whilst waiting I had imbibed the free frothy coffee, put many as many boiled sweets as I could into my pocket and ogled the recptionist.

What did the dealership pay the person who diligently hunted for the bit needed ?

What was his share for that time, of only the the rent and rates that was paid on the premises that day ?

A kindness exchanged that makes everybody feel great ? Since we all ultimately choose to whom we give our profit, that is also in my view, good and enjoyable business for all concerned.
