Whats the best tyres for a 996 GT2 ?
Discussion
Seeing Im a new owner ( he he ) ..
the car is running Michelin Sports but I think they are due for a new set
3 years old +
the car feels fine on these ! should I stick to them ?
Im going to be using the car on the road and keeping the car standard !
Cheers
by comparision Ive just driven my GT3 RS back from a snowing Nurburgring
and can now honestly say ... the GT2 is a better and more comfortable road car !
( but the RS is still one quick machine )

If the car feels fine with the tyres on it, then most definitely you need to change them. Can't be driving around on tyres that feel fine. Spend £1200 on a set of cups or something.
If you're happy with the HP, then take it to a cheapo chipping company, you know, someone who have about 0.00001% of the knowledge of the likes of RUF and get them to whack it up to 600hp.
And of course seeing as it is so comfortable and well behaved on the road, and that is where the car will be used, be sure to set it up with lots of camber and heavily track focused geo settings!
Plus don't forget to check your grammar "whats the best....."

Go play with your Scalextrics !
I think its a reasonable question to ask about tyres on this forum ,
Im a new owner to the GT2 marquee and thought I would call upon the vast knowledge
of this forum
as for my spelling I do apologise ( Ive had a very heavy weekend in Germany ! )
