Its the interior colour basically!.. Most people spending that money don't want light grey, so if you can stomach it, then its a pretty good deal....

I like it. Makes a change from black, and goes well with the Lapis Blue IMO. The was a time when pretty much every Porsche sold in the UK seemed to come with Marble Grey leather until Porsche dropped the colour. It's a fashion thing, hence I haven't a clue, but there does appear to be a 'what's hot and what's not' with Porsche specs. Look at the lairy colours making a comeback at the moment. I remember a few years ago a UK OPC salesman showing me a very pretty, white 993 and going on and on and on about how the customer was a nutjob and would never sell it etc. That car in white would probably be worth a premium now over one in Ocean blue.

I've been to see this car and it really is just the interior colour that is not quite right. It even has a small carbon pack (gearstick and handbrake handle). But also the interior, the leather, looks a little tired. No sports seats and no PCM which I guess is not an issue for some.

It was originally on at £43k, then down to £42k and now at £40k. Which is a really good price for a TT.

This has also been around a while since I first looked at it:
www.portiacraft.com/cardetails.asp?id=965

Again same thing. Grey interior and to be honest I think the grey does not age as well as a black or metropole blue.

Agreed yes my concern with grey leather would be selling it on. but both are yum

BTW: given that RSJ's is cheaper for the same age, you've been able to defy Harry - what do you think you'll get? [from website: THIS IS A LOW MILES SUPERB CAR AT A VERY REALISTIC PRICE I DEFY YOU TO FIND NICER OR CHEAPER IN THE UK.]

I think when pepole are spending this much money on a car then colour and spec are pretty important confused. The first linked cars interior at RSJ does look a little tired/worn and the ruffled leather really doesn't help the issue IMO.

Second car looks a lot better in more of a clessic combo, looks like good value if its in good nick.

Where have you seen a facelifted car, ie glovebox etc for less than 40k at adealers in a great external colour with a reasonable interior?

This one is not that nice either. Interior looks a bit worn again. A lot of chips on the nose. Front splitter quite damaged. Just not quite what you would want to spend more than £40k on. It also has an aweful aftermarket Sat Nav in it.

I would say they are both amongst the worst Turbos I have ever seen and I guess the price reflects.

I haven't...but my point is that £45k secures a nice 02 plate car (didn't a chap on here buy a 04/54 fully spec'd for £50k?)...if you're spending circa £40k- £5k on way or the other is pretty menial imo

That is the biggest load of bullshit i have ever seen.
I was at RSJ on wednesday looking at the black turbo to see if i could persuade myself to upgrade my C4S.
Although i dont like Lapis blue or grey leather,i did have a good look at it.
The car is absolutely immaculate.
Not a mark on it.
But i just dont like blue or grey leather or i would have bought it if it was black.
Yes the leather is grey and looks dreary but thats grey for you,its dreary.
If you dont like grey, dont buy it,no need to slag the car off for no reason.

I can only assume they didnt let you have a joyride in it that you are saying what you are.

Went there for the first time.
For anyone who hasnt, the cars are immaculately presented.

Alright sweetheart, keep your panty-hose on.

If you actually took the time to read the thread from the top you will see I said this was a nice car apart from the colour of the interior.

Saying it is one of the worst also does not have to refer to the condition but refers to the spec/colour combination of the car.

Flipping heck! The joyride comment was also not warranted but I will let it slide this one time nono
