Took the 911 out for a spin (for the battery of course ) and noticed quite a few dead pheasants on the road...

And one live one, in the middle of my side of the road, on one of my favoriate stretches just after a nice fast right hander.

I love porsche brakes, and the fact nothing was coming in the other direction at the time...

On a day like today, with nice empty flowing roads, I wonder why I ever consider selling her...

Bloody phesants, hit one this weekend, at 60mph, just wandered out of nowhere, nothing I could do, not even Porsche brakes would help.

The underside of my car looks like a scene from a horror movie. hurl

Tell me about it, when I sold my TVR a couple of weeks ago, I took the guy for a test drive and took a pheasant out! Busted number plate and blood all over the bonnet, lucky it was no damage to the car. Didn't put the chap off buying the car, but I had to get the plate fixed

Seen loads scattered over the roads of North Wales this weekend.
Careful out there

Oh and I reminded myself how great the roads in North Wales are.

They do seem to have a deathwish, don't they?

It was more by luck than judgement that I managed to miss one that darted out of a bush in rural Cheshire just as I was passing this afternoon.....

I hate the way you come across peasants on country roads at weekends, especially the older ones in their Rovers and Hyundais.

Gets coat, scurries back into hedgerow and hangs head in shame

...don't talk to me about pheasants. I barrel rolled a boxster s three times with the hood down a few years back when one ran out mid bend!

I have no doubt that the feelings are mutual... I suspect that the pheasants (+ peasants) do not particularly welcome Porkers on their roads. rotate

oh come on... why else would they run out into the road when they see a decent car. They figure if they're gonna go, they may as well go with some style
