996tt radio reception

Anyone got any info about 996 PCM1 radio reception probs? Bought a '02 996tt in Jan, love the car but disappointed with the radio. It struggles to pick up more than a couple of stations where my old Nissan 200 gets loads. Is it a one-off problem with this particular car or is it typical of 996 PCM1? If so, what's the answer? (Didn't have the same problem with PCM on a 997).

I think there must be some issue with AM reception even on the new cars. I had a roof antenna fitted on my recent new car - an official no cost option - quote 'to improve medium wave reception'.

Sorry for some reason I thought you meant AM.
The FM antenna is in the windscreen I think, has it had a new one at some point?? Maybe it's not there or not connected.

Up to 2002 will be one connector on the driver side of the windscreen behind the A-pillar cover. 2003 > on had two on each side.
