After nearly getting wiped out a week ago, remember the t
t with the diesel sprayer, wifey and I were leisurely cruising up the East Coast when a Frickin wheel trim came off a Mitsi Charisma, right in front of us!!!
Took evasive action but I swear it was a "Heat seeking guided wheeltrim/missile". It hit with a terrible thump and when we finally got pulled over there was a little scuffing and a small dent (on the front wing about 7" back from the headlight)!
The other driver gave me his details (name and phone number) but I am not sure what to do next, is this worth bothering the insurance company?
Has anyone got any experience of these ChipsAway boyos?
Got lots of positive feedback from young lads at the roadside during the drive, thumbs up and the like, OH and one wa#@er sign from Robert (& Maureen in a dark metallic blue Mazda 626, said their names on the reg plate!) as they undertook us in a 40mph zone (I was doing 45mph at the time) all we could do was laugh, he was no spring chicken our Robert!!! Now I ask you who is really the wanker bearing in mind he was still in front of us 2 miles later (built up area, busy Sat morning).
