Well I got up early and made my way to an OPC in West London to drop my 996 TT off for a major service which I booked over 4 weeks ago as I needed a courtesy car. They took a copy of my License and Insurance and then guess what....."I'm sorry but your courtesy car is not here because it hasn't been dropped off by the previous user"!

So I am now waiting for them to call me when the courtsey car arrives..........how bl**dy frustrating!

No, it's the fault of the thoughtless prick who let them down.

I think you are unlucky micheal at West London has always been great with loan cars either a boxter s or Cyanne if you are a regular they offer a drop off and collect which is great.
Tim Dring there NZ tech is the best in an OPC IMHO

I personally think it is the OPC's fault and would like to think that they would of had another vehicle to offer incase of this scenario!

Frustrating, I'm sure, but not entirely the OPC's fault.

If you fly regularly it happens a lot. Incoming aircraft delayed - outgoing flight delayed mad

I think you're scratching a bit

Compared to mine on Friday morning when I rearranged plans to visit the OPC at 10am (as discussed and arranged with service) to discuss a few issues with the car post service

Slightly annoyed to get there to find out that a) OPC doesnt open till 11 and that b) the service department is closed the whole of easter

Wasted journey to help fix their cock ups during their service...Worthy of a moan?

1. They should have called before you left to advise situation.
2. They should have stolen a demo from a salesperson to give to you.

This is an OPC issue.

Agreed. When I've had loan cars for warranty work, if the originally planned loan car was not available, I'd get the sales (or service) manager's car, they'd give me a demo, or they'd hire me an equivalent.

IMHO, this is clearly a good example of poor customer service.

After all, the person who allegedly failed to return the loan car may have kept the loaner because his/her car in said OPC was not ready for collection (happened to me too, where I was told on a Friday night to keep the loaner which someone else may have been expecting on the following Monday). Speculation, I grant, but the point about poor customer service still stands.

Why should we accept this for what is a premium product?

I had a the same situation at a dealer(franchise but not Porsche) a few months ago.Resulted in a wasted 100 mile round trip.Bloody frustrating when there were demonstrators in the car park that could have been used.Took my business elsewhere and would never use that particular dealer again.

Well they eventually called back and left me a message at 17.20 to said that the loan car would be available next Tuesday.......I think I'll politely tell them where to go.

I wish Lexus made a 911 alternative!!!
