I thought I would share an amusing story with you...

I was out for a few beers with some mates after work the other night. It started in a very tame way, and I had planned on getting the 18:45 train home.

However, one pint led to another...and you know how it goes.

We decided to get some food at a local Italian restaurant and so the four of us sat down to a nice Steak dinner!

Who should be sat next to us but none other than Tiff Nedell, escorted by a very young lady! Anyway, being a fan of Tiff, and being a little worse for wear (not realising that my voice carries) I was overheard stating in a self satisfying way "Tiff would like me...I have a Porsche"...

The shame...

Actually, I think he got a bit narked that I was paying him so much attention...when I got up to leave, he stood up in the restaurant and was shouting

"Goodby John Smith"...(my name is not John Smith)...

I think he was implying that I was a nobody stalker!!!

Like I said before...I am ashamed (but it was funny - I now tell people that I had supper with Tiff - almost true)!

If that's true it's hilarious. Nice one Tiff.

I'm seeing him tonight, I'll report back if this is fact or fiction.

At least you didn't pretend to be a waiter so you could go over and clear his table just for the chance to have a chat ... one of the guys at work did this with Jenson Button in Nobu - he was asked not to return to the establishment !

He will confirm it is the gods honest truth...

It was a nice Italian in Brum...

I did think he was brave to stand up and shout across a room full of diners "Goodbye John Smith....goodbye John Smith"

Where he got that nugget from I don't know!
