PCM 2

Are all PCM 2 units the same ? e.g. would one from a Boxster, Cayenne fit a 996 ?

And would one from a 997 fit a 996 ?

is it a self contained module? or do you need the correct wiring loom, GPS kit etc..

i would need a GPS antenna but guess could pick one of these up from the OPC at a not too outrageous price. I have been told (by an OPC technician) that apart from the GPS, all the other wiring necessary ought to be in the car already.

They're not the same aesthetically at least.
The unit in my 997 has different buttons/graphics to the one I had in my Boxster.

I've seen the 997 and like the look of them better but not sure if my 996 has all the correct wiring etc........
