I love the Porsche so much.

The sun shining, windows down, wind rushing by...

The lovely noise of the flat six way behind you.

The stunning blonde in the MX-5 doing her damnest to stay ahead of you, overtaking, glancing in her mirror at you every second or so... until she turns off onto less interesting roads, and you open the porker up again, passing sunday drivers with no drama or issue, the car gripping corner to corner, the admiring glances from pedestrians and passing drivers...

Half a tank of Tesco 99 RON well spent, I have that happy glow deep inside that makes every stress and strain of Porsche ownership worth while

why bizarre?

I was having fun following the blonde, occasionally pulling alongside on dual carrigeway bits and she smiled and floored it... i just chose to drop back and let her go ahead..

No, sounds good, just nothing like my own Porsche driving experience of late,,,,
normally trying to keep the thing on the road and very conscious of speed cameras, village speed limits and opportunities to resume progress on clearer roads where I sadly wouldn't notice drivers of Mx5's......bloody progress again, I rue the day I took those driving courses

Less admiring glances from passers by and other road users as it makes a noise like a chain saw meeting a wasps nest, before the brakes are applied and someone thinks a cat is being murdered rolleyes

Your run out in the country sounds very pleasant and it's great that there is a Porsche for all our needs

ah i see...

well, I obey all village speed limits, and keep one eye peeled for certain vans, yellow boxes or appropriatley livered cars, but I was just out for a drive, I wasnt going anywhere, so not bothered about 'making progress', just concerned with having a nice time in the sun.

which i did.

Likewise, great day for it, albeit some of the glances i had today while out for a hoon were more like "i'd like to kill you" had some real shittly looks from w@nkers outside boozers guzzling lager, then it was time for chav in scooby/EVO complete with drainpipe & dumpvalve to bug me, heyho there you go still had a pleasant cruise.
Now on back garden guzzling lager........

Hi All

Had a similar drive today on way to a PCGB lunch...travelling along a private road and passed a black 911 turbo cabby with a big black whale tail (anyone here ?)
He was doing well at around 120 (kph ?) when I passed him at 150 kph...
Its that shortage of 2 cylinders that makes them so slow i think

All the best Brett

I spent the day at RAF Marham trying to burn out a set of tyres but run out fuel before that happened, £60+ worth of fuel burnt up in a few hours of Track Driving thumbup

agree: great weekend for driving.

It would appear that the boy racers expect you to rag the backside of the car and so sit on it in anticipation. I had 2 separate incidients yesterday, one where the Astra VXR driver clearly didn't understand how to take a roundabout.

knowing that you can doesn't mean that you have to..... always there's always going to be someone who clearly doesn't get it.

Was a great day (morning) for driving. Landed at Gatwick at 3.45am, and much to the annoyance (jealousy)of the other pasengers waiting for transport, kind man from Purple Parking delivered the 911, and back home in Devon before sunrise!
