Hi everybody,

I'm a longstanding member (5 years) of PH and used to regularly contribute to the Porsche forum. I gave up when I sold my last 911 (964) around 3 years ago, bought an MPV and had 2 nippers.

There's a lot of new names here but it's good to see that Clubsport's still around and I assume Domster is still moderating. Anybody else remember me ? Henry-F might cause I used to give him such a hard time, all in good jest of course. As I recall, I used to annoy TVR owners quite often too. Still what do they know ?

Anyway, just bought my 5th Porker. Year 2000 996 C2, GT3 Bodykit with 18" Sport Design alloys and Sports Exhaust. It's the 3rd car I've bought from Joel at RSJ Sports Cars and the buying experience was as enjoyable as ever. Got it checked at the OPC and went for the OPC warranty. Can't be too careful with the 3.4 engine can we. My Porsche ownership history is 1993 993 C2, 2000 996 C2, 1993 968 Club Sport and 1991 964 C4. All of these were LHD so this new car is my first taste of sitting on the "Wrong" side.

The car really is a stunning drive and although the old style GT3 rear spoiler has never really been my cup of tea, I'm gonna live with it, unless we can stick the later rear spoiler from the facelift GT3 on ?

Compared to a 1.6 16V Megane Scenic (Sport no less), it's a dream. All the old feelings come back every time I get in her and start her up. There is nothing like a Porsche ! It's good to be back.

In that case, welcome back.

Be honest, you must miss the old Megane though

It must be a shock to the system to see all the new posters ... Lukily some bad smells do exactly what they're supposed to hehe

I spotted that '3' in RSJ , and thought it looked the dogs danglies.

And I know Joel won't take in a 3.4 unless it's top notch , so congrats , you've got yourself a good egg there.
Happy driving.
