I'm having a set fitted in the next week, but wondered if there is an easy visual difference between ordinary Brembos and the fully floating jobbies (that I have been promised).

Want to make sure the correct ones have been fitted.

I have Brembo floating discs on my 996tt (350mm with GT3 callipers) and mine rattle like crazy when driving slowly, but I am led to understand that brembo have changed the design slightly and they don't rattle as much now!

As has already been said, the discs rattle like crazy at low speeds when cold. (although they won't for the first 50 or so miles when new).

Guys - be aware that using these discs for road mileage will knacker the bells. This is caused because they don't heat up on motorways and as such flap about and damage the assembly. Ive got a knackered set in my garage - if I get a chance I will take some photos and post them.

The new Alcons on the other hand don't rattle and hence don't suffer with the same problem.

If you only use the car on track (or getting to / from the track) you should be ok. I did a mixture of road and track driving.
