The cups didn't really last long at all, so will be replacing with the pilot sports - hopefully get a lot more wear out of them
These are the prices i have got for a set of 4 Michelin Pilot sport N rated tyres

Elite - £916.26
Costco - £910.46
Micheldever - £894.43
OPC - £1234.60!! - what a mark up..

Anyone done better?

I am up to 3800 miles on the rears on my Cups - The inside edges have just about had it. The front tyres are probably 50% worn - so not too bad.

I have not been on the track yet though. I will keep the worn rears for that purpose.

As for road tyres, if they are approved by Porsche now, I think they are, the Michelin Pilot Sport 2 is a much better tyre then the Michelin Pilot Sport.

Happy Hunting.

Try the Pirelli Corsas. Customer feedback to me suggests that these are a better tyre.

Better at what? They come with more tread, so better for wear but are they better grip than the Cups?

Can anyone explain why the inner edges wear more - does this mean there is some sort of problem with the setup - I noticed this on mine after a trackday that the inner edges had worn a lot and worse on the drivers side.

Any ideas?

ats are the cheapest then, after discounting them, the total is £784.4 for the pilot sport 2

To expand slightly on this:

The GT3 is set up with fairly aggressive cambers for a road car, as the factory are expecting the cars to be tracked, or at least to be driving briskly on the road. This means that whilst going straight ahead, the contact patch is biased towards the inside, hence the disproportionate wear.

You can also get excessive wear on the inside edge through under-inflation.

Please let us know what your impression of the handling and grip is compared to the cup tyres.

I am at the point where I need to change all four tyres on my GT3 and would love to get more wear but would not want to sacrifice all that grip !

ur tyres should be no more than 33-34psi after comming off the track

Parr motor sport had adjusted the pressures on the tyres, the handling was remarkable improved

Pirelly are a great alternative, just a fast and more thread. but apparently not as good in the wet...

The cups are actually a little quicker than the corsas but for track day enthusiasts, the corsas are great (and cheaper).

I would recommend the P-ZERO Corsa's fantasic grip in the dry not to good on a wet road, they are a little more noisy than the standard P-ZERO'S. All depends on your driving style of course!!
