I've now got my invite for a half-day GT3 driving experiance. I know a few of you have been on these already. It is possible for a guest to pay £550 and have the same "experiance".
If a non-paying guest does accompany you, what is there for them to do whilst you, the GT3 owner, is having a ball of a time?
Did people on here go on their own or can your guest join in somehow?

Nothing for a non paying passenger to do at all really...

They would have to wait for you at the Hotel where you meet (Flitwick Manor), which
is hardly the last word in Hotel Facilities.....

Flitwick is a quiet little town too..so nothing really there to amuse themselves..

They won't be able to come to the testing ground with you, well in the GT3 anyway, maybe
in the back of a Carrera, but i'm not sure that would be comfortable, if allowed at all...

I did mine just before getting my car, as glenn says, nothing for a non paying guest to do, no cameras allowed as Millbrook is a testing circuit for everything, I saw new shaped milk van being put through its paces! Great fun though, you get option to do a bit of advanced road driving before going to Millbrook, which is fun and I couldn't answer any of the Q's about traffic signs, thank god no theory test! You will enjoy the different circuits, espeacially Alpine, the 50m test circle shows off traction control + lots more. Is it worth paying £550 for a mate, only if he is getting a GT3 or he won't be your friend anymore, just jealous. Enjoy your day, my face hurt by the time I got home, grin from ear to ear!!

I received an invite by post from Porsche as part of getting my GT3.
My GT3 invitation says its exclusively for GT3 owners and a personal guest can participate for £550.

You could try emailing them - drivingexperiance@porscheevents.co.uk
I think they do days for each Porsche model. I'm not aware of a website.

What Glenn said it isn't worth taking a friend unless they are also driving, having paid the £550!

If it was as per my day, you should be driving two GT3s, one comfort & one club sport with PCCB's, it is a fun half day.....enjoy, those instructors are very talented!

Paid £550 for my son to go with me. We each spent half our time in a comfort car and half in a Clubsport. Before the day, I had every intention of ordering the comfort spec but after driving both cars we both agreed the Clubsport option was worth paying for. We preferred the driving position offered by the bucket seats.

Needless to say I have now had to include my son on the insurance! We are off to factory collect next week.

Had my drive on Friday morning bounce

Gladfully it was dry and sunny at Millbrook, which was amazing considering it bucketed it down all the way from Blackburn to just south of Birmingham.

The instructor was great and thoroughly enjoyed the Alpine circuit, the banked circuit and 1 mile straight - managed 159mph down there - my fatest drive ever biggrin

The only downside was the time went too quick!!

Some people had their invite before their car arrived, some, like me had their invite after delivery.

I've uploaded some photos of the test cars I drove and a photo of Millbrook from the air.

IS this a Porsche UK thing or a Porsche thing - ie. my car is a UK spec but not UK supplied - do I get the free day?

Cheers

I'd contact your dealership. I'd slipped through the net and after a quick call by my dealership to Porsche my invite arrived.

No, it's paid for by Porsche Cars GB/OPCs, so you wouldn't be entitled to it.
