I'm thinking of changing out the standard radio in my GT2 for one of these, mainly for the bluetooth and ipod compatability but perhaps to improve the sound a bit. The back light is red, right? Any experiences of them and how about fitting?

Don't quote me on this but I think there are 4 different models with 4 different backlights.

Also I think there is a bit of a shortage of the Becker Ipod adaptors in the UK.

They are the absolute Daddy. Get the 7990 - amber matches the dash colour.

I got mine fitted six months ago, nice sound even with standard speakers, IPOD and bluetooth excellent.

Do Becker do anything that works on MY03 on cars with the MOST bus yet?

I'd like a unit that looks OEM but does more modern things...possibly including Sat Nav

I think this fits earlier cars only. Mine's a 2000.

Pikey wanted one for him Cayman but it doesn't work.

Does anyone know if it can connect via bluetooth to a TomTom (Go 710) and play the direction instructions through the car speakers?

I don't think the bluetooth on a tom tom is for audio transfer of instructions - i think it is just for mobile telephony.

Not true, it (well my 710 anyway) asks you if you want to use the bluetooth device as external speakers. I've not actually tried it mind.

learn something new everyday!

Either way, I think the Becker 7990 looks like the perfect soultion for my Ipod and bluetooth phone needs.
