Has anyone had experiences with an accelation delay. Whether warm or cold the car does not respond occasionally when the accelerator is pressed for up anything up to 4 seconds.

I wonder if there is a fault with your PSM.

Make sure the PSM light doesn`t illuminate when the car is hesitating. If it is then turn the PSM off (top centre of dash) and that should cure the problem. Then get it in to a garage to diagnose the PSM fault (probably an ABS sensor).

Alternatively it could be the coil packs.

Obviously with a fault like this it could be anything but a good garage should be able to diagnose.

Does it feel like a slight 'misfire'?

I had similar in the 'S'. Putting foot down with low rev's in a higher gear. Turned out to be coil packs (if a believe correctly 2 failed out of 8 cylinders?). Simple fix at the OPC and done under warranty. If not under warranty, even then, its a relatively cheap/easy fix.
