I am considering making an offer for this GT3 MK11 :-

www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/148928.htm

Does anyone know anything about the history of the car or the previous owners?

I believe the current owner is based near Colchester.

Thanks, David

On reflection I should have posted this today. The car in question is a Seal Grey 2004 GT3 MK2. I believe the current and previous owners live near Colchester. Current Reg is V6 KJF. Any info on this car would be appreciated.

Thanks, David

Don't know the car, but if you have any intention of tracking it I should look for one with steel brakes, or factor in 2-3k to replace them with something a little more sturdy.

Great cars and I love that colour on GT3's.

Good luck

Isn't £53k OPC pricing?? I'm not sure I'd spend that much on a MK2 without OPC backing - especially on a car with PCCB.

I saw that and thought it a touch over priced.

I suppose it depends on whether it's had it's 12k service and if it's had its warranty renewed.

I thought that initially, too. But then I saw they'd written "YOU BEAUTY..." on the advert and I changed my mind. You see what they did there? Took away any discomfort I might have given the disticntly OPC price from an Indy by using words like 'beauty' and 'mint'.

Its being sold on by a non OPC company hence the manufacturers warranty is not transferrable

So long as the previous owner signed the warranty transfer form who's to know?

OPC Notts have offered me an 04/04 Atlas Grey 3 with 18K for £54,995. Two months ago Leeds OPC sold an 03/03 Colbalt Blue car with 14K PCCB and standard seats for £49,995. Paragon recenty sold a seal grey 04/04 car with approx 14K for £54,995.

Based on recent due dilligence, OPC's are asking £55 - £60 for 04 model year 3's. Indies are in the region of £50 - £58k. Private sellers are anywhere between £47 and £56K

David, do you know how much the Guards Red MKII one at Paragon went for over the weekend? It certainly didn`t hang around long!

As far as I u'stand, the PCCB's (pads and disks) aren't covered by the Porsche warranty ~ they're classed as wear and tear items. I checked this specifically with them but if anyone knows any different, pls let me know. Victoria.xx

Indeed. And at £3500 per corner from an OPC, almost nobody replaces them with OEM items when they are worn out... Hence some people replace them early with Alcons and box them for resale time and despite being a big money option (though much less than the replacement cost) they command no premium at resale.

But that has all been done to death here... tumbleweed
