Right I've looked in all the usual place's and best so far seems to be the one at Harbour cars, so I've emailed as there closed til Tuesday.

I'm gonna need 4 seats in this purchase but if a 993 Rs come up I will be so tempted.

As it stands I've sold the Exige I'm going to the sell my 996 TT cab (anyone interested let me know I can point you to a thread where it got slatted ).

Then the Green Rs turns up in a few weeks and hopefully a special old one that I'm working on at the moment, so 993 turbo as my daily workhorse sounds ideal.

Anyone know of a good one please let me know

How about a 39000 mile Blue with grey for £45k PCGB memeber in the for sale add here and he wants a 996TT

1995 N plate 39000 miles midnight blue with grey full leather interior. All the usual bits - all standard sun roof, 3rd brake light, full remote cat 1 alarm with full closure. Full service history. See it on Pistonheads. 3 owners. Great condition - and I am fussy.

does anyone know if they differ to later TT's in the same way that there was a difference between early non-varioram engines and the the later varioram engines? ie is there any differnce apart from age etc

It was something like this.

There is a Turbo (94-96) and the Turbo S (96 through to 98)

Turbo is 408bhp, S is 450bhp. Thus shaving a massive 0.2 secs 0-62. Also this pushed the top speed tp just below 190 from about 179. It was also slightly lighter than the Turbo, and had the legendary yellow calipers (as opposed the BIG REDS)

Turbo S is a premium, not too many made. In respect to further changes I'm not entirly sure.

No difference in the engine. I think they uprated 1st gear for MY1997 plus a few other things. The ECU was changed too - same program but became 'programmable' if that's makes sense.

Yes the Turbo S was a run-out model with k24's fitted as standard - and sold along side the k16 turbo, very rare and desirable though sadly suspension so hard as to make them less enjoyable than the standard car.

In terms of the k16 cars (408 and 430) my previous post applys

They do exist - I've got one! Never seen another one though. My rear seats were specced from new, but is there anything to stop you putting rears seats from a normal 993 into an RS?
