Renewal time.

I can go with Tesco again, or for an extra £50 a month I can get Chubb cover.

www.chubb.com/international/uk/individuals/motor.html

Agreed value, fully comp on any vehicle, similar replacement car etc etc...

Any views?

If its the CHUBB Masterpiece then probably the best policy out there for high end cars - just renewed mine through Cheam Insurance last week.

Highlights:
1) My wife and I are totally covered on our car and any other car we want to drive (inc. rentals) on the same terms.
2) Our car is covered on an agreed valuation basis at the start of the year - don't need separate gap insurance
3) Anybody is fully comp insured to drive my car with my permission
4) No mileage/usage cap
5) Automatic free courtesy car for repairs through a performance car specialist (had an AMV8 before)
6) Full legal cover (recovered my excess in two incidents this year)
7) All repairs automatically authorised through OPC

I've had to make two claims in 12 months with CHUBB and these guys are no-nonsense professionals who are used to dealing with high-end cars. No quibbles, fast, efficient, etc. Yes, it is expensive but I think worth it.

Wouldn't dream of using anyone else.

What kind of European cover do you get? Nearly all the insurance companies I've tried have this up to a max of 90 days. I need 6 months. LV do it but increased my premium by 40% for no reason last year, so I dumped them. Now thru A-Plan with Royal Sun Alliance who I've managed to negotiate 6 months Euro cover. Ecar do unlimited 365 days but not for a car that's valued at 40k+. Do Chubb have decent Euro cover?

I went with Chubb due to the unlimited European cover.
