I have been thinking of some Cargraphics or BBS wheels for my Mk 2. I note that Cargraphics shows 19" wheels on the GT3s, yet I have never seen a car on the road with anything bigger than 18". The 997s all seem to be running 19". Does going up in size on a Mk2 bugger the ride and handling?

Dont know whether it will mess up the ride but it will limit your choice of tyres..

Are you intending to track the car?

Steve, yes I do track the car (5-6 days per year I hope). I also use it on the road, more out of necessity than anything else.

Although not a GT3, my 996 has GT3 suspension sitting 30mm lower than the standard spec 996, and a few months ago (10K miles) I fitted 19" Carrera wheels, as the 997, but with offsets to suit the 996. A marginal notice in firmer ride, but still fine for everyday use.

Wheels look great, although be careful with clearance as only marginal on the rears, as also went up from 10 x 18's to 11 x 19's.
