Respray a hardtop?
Discussion
Hi there, having had a 911 Hardtop with my Cab, I would suggest trying to find an original one the reason for this is primarily that brand new paint takes a while to dry therefore if you wish to use it shortly after having it sprayed, you are likely to end up marking it badly.
If you cannot find one, then of course you could have one sprayed, there is not much work to do it, when I sold My cab recently, nobody asked me if it was the original one that came with the car, only did I have one, If having a Hardtop sprayed then my advice would be to firstly have it done at the beginning of the summer (when you don't need it) to allow it to fully cure before using it and secondly I would ensure that the place that you chose to spray it was not only spraying it in the same colour as the car but also with the same paint. I hope this helps you, Chris
