Was the 911RS reg plate not just a dealer plate covering the actual up or instead of the actual?
You can get show plates which read anything you like.

The registration number is 911 RSL and the guy who owns it is quite handy behind the wheel. Photos of this car taken by Jim Gaisford at Castle Coombe appear in the most recent copy of Porsche Post.

'911 RS' and '911 RSL' are both currently registered to 911 GT3 RSs

'911 RS' is on an orange 997 GT3 RS, or at least it was a few weeks ago when I last saw it. Guy is a friend of a friend and I think acquired the plate recently to put on that car.

Im sure 911 RS was advertised on PH a few months back??? offers ard 25k when i enquired. I also remeber about 5 years ago Autfarm used to hold a list of porsche numbers for sale and this was one of them.

911 RSL sold in Dec 2006 by DVLA at £6,600 + vat + hammer price so approx £8k

You are right, 911RS was owned by a chap in Kent who advertised it, previously it was on a 964RS which came to a few events and the occasioanal kent club night.
