My GT2 is helping to address the global warming issue.

It does this by converting carbon bodyparts into a bio degradeable gas, which disperses into the atmosphere.

An example of this recently occured at the famous Nordschleife Racing circuit in the Eiffel mountains of Germany, where the GT2 passed close by a CSL at high speed and on full boost. The roof of the CSL peeled away, and was sucked into the intercooler vents of the GT2 and exited the rear of the car as a black gas.

The CSL driver then returned to the carpark, in his newly modified M3 cab.

Is this a true storey? If so it is remarkable.

Why do the owners of non-Porsche cars always get so defensive?

Here they pick on Kurgen and just a few days ago Ducatigary got flamed on the Mustang forum (although it wasn't Gary's mist shining performance, mind). They compare themselves with Porsche owners/drivers and get overexcited if they're able to overtake one.

Haven't read any thread on this forum where people would brag that they overtook a CSL, Stang or Impreza for that matter, even if it was driving 200 mph backwards blindfoldedly sitting on the roof...rolleyes

When you don't have a Porsche, you know you have one of the fastest cars in the world.
Once you upgrade to a Porsche, you have to accept that everyone else's car is faster than yours.
This is just a fact of 'internet' life that we need to accept and move on.

I was shocked when I bought my Porker, to find out it was the most overtaken car in the world !

Exactly, I just wish I'd invested more wisely and bought an Astra, either a van or coupe, as they are both considerably quicker! rolleyes

When we were at Zandvoort a few years ago there was this Lotus P*ick
who had Porsche stickers on his side window with a red cross through each of them
( like a jet fighter showing his kills )
we fronted him about this !

once he went out we followed and we all blitzed him

I asked him to take the stickers off now he was overtaken by 6 Porsches !

he looked at us in disbelief !... as I said before ... Pr*ck !!

Guys, it was just a morning jest, as I posted in the CSL forum.

The CSL driver in question, who was buzzed by me and a certain Tango RS, has seen the funny side!

Obviously his carbon roof is, to my knowledge, still attached.

Where do these people get attacked by Porsche drivers? In their inferiority complexes? In their realisation that the did not get in life what they wanted?

To me this appears pretty sad. I don't mind getting overtaken by a Lambo or Ferrari. I take in the view and the noise and then mind my own business. No need for me to try and defend my Porsche as the fastest car in the world, even if there might be some people who get it around the 'Ring faster than some of the Modena material...

....i've posted a reply as it was me who Shimmy was following at Bedford. All i can say is that i was going as fast as i felt happy with being as it was my first ever track day and it was wet. I couldn't shake Shimmy in his CSL other than on the straights, he caught back up again under braking mainly but also through the corners. He was pedaling it very well esp considering he was on cups in the wet! My confidence grew through the session and esp after some instruction. It amazed me how much more grip and traction there was as you dared to push deeper and get on the throttle earlier. I'm sure in more experienced hands the GT2 would have been more than a match for the CSL and the GT3's.

But you do by 'cheaper' cars I suppose?

I dont mind getting overtaken by anybody thats faster than me, Lambo, Ferrari, Porshce, Kia, Hyundi whatever.

Now i dont know you Dr S but i can guarantee that there is always someone faster than you and me on every track in many cars some much cheaper and less flash than lambos and ferraris. What we all hate are people that try to judge speed by a mixture of cost and status rather than skill (not that i have any you must understand)

very true and i was a little terrified especially when i saw how fast you disappeared when i was trying to ge the power down after a bend. thought you were dong very well for your first and the dry will let you get that little bit more confidence to ge the entry speed up to the corners (confidence that I have to try to find again after all the rain and slipping and sliding)

I'd love a passenger ride if we meet at a track again, not that i intend making a habit of it but if Bedford came up again i'd be there like a shot. I love the sound of the CSL at 8500rpm!
