GT3 on 2003 Top Gear last night (KayC look away...)

[johnfm]

Was up last night reading (don't ask!) and there was an old rerun of Top Gear featuring the then new MK2 GT3.

Hammond's quote was "..after 40 years of evolution this is the best 911 ever.."

Clarkson "..well, you know I am a Ferrari man, but that was one of the best cars I have ever driven..."

And Stig did a 1.26 in the wet.

Kind of put a smile on my face to hear Clarkson begrudgingly admit it's not a bad piece of kit.

Do you remember Clarkson, driving a GT3RS on the test track, with Luca Badoer (Ferrari's F1 test driver) working hard to keep up in an F360 Challenge?

Certainly do. If that was genuine, it was funny.

This was on late last weekend. It was brilliant.

Another re-run had the test drive of the Sagaris - Clarkson absolutely raved about it. Seems the TVR fraternity have short memories when it comes to pulling JC apart as a TVR hater...
