Got my Boxster - thanks for the advice
Discussion
Have picked up my Boxster 2001 2.7 - Silver/Black. I know it is not hard core Porsche, but I totally love it. Having owned 'sporty' cars - Fiat Coupe, Saab Turbo and a TVR Chim - this is by far the most fun (and confidence inspiring) to drive. Finding any excuse to hop into it and go round corners and listen to that engine - and it can cope with crawling in traffic as well. No more TVR experiences of sitting watching the engine heat itself into submission!
As you may remember I was concerned at the lack of aircon - but swayed at being able to afford a newer car as it was 2-3k cheaper. So far has not been a problem at all. Also I assume the car might be marginally quicker without it fitted - or is that just fanciful thinking!
Any ways - many thanks for the advice from forum members.
cheers

I am DELIGHTED to hear of your purchase. There's nothing like a new car - and when its a Porsche its just heaven.
Enjoy!
And have you joined the PCGB yet?
And will you be at any PCGB trackdays?
The only downside of the PCGB days is the 996s are allowed on track at the same time and you have to keep overtaking them.
