Raising the Bar of Expectation
Discussion
OK so its been a few weeks since i collected my 996 X50
having now got slightly more used to the warp speed pedal, i have had a chance to ponder things that go on around the dashboard, and in particular the OBC
the one that fasinates me the most is the turbo boost gauge. in standard trim what is the maximum bar i should expect to see at full chat? 0.7 bar, 0.8? and will i ever reach the holyland of 1.0 bar?

Could be the start of a slippery slope, currently in the land of 1.3bar.
Thus far I have seen 0.9 bar on the boost gauge, although I have to admit it was only a fleeting glance as i was shitting myself at the time and hanging onto the steering wheel for dear life.
I suppose the original idea of my question was to see what these beasts pump out in standard trim - and what they can do modified.
Rods I know you have spent a bob or two on your car - and 1.3 bar sounds pretty scary. How does this boost relate to performance on the road. Is it a torque improvement or top end power?

Definately a torque thing, sweaty palms with a nervous laugh sort of thing, highly recommended.

, pretty much the norm in x50's & GT2's I would expect...
