I have had the PSM and ABS light come on several times recently and this was beginning to happen almost daily. I changed the MAF (been down this route before) but no joy. I had the car recovered to my local OPC.

They contacted me to say that the driver’s side wiring has worn on the ABS circuit and that it needs to be repaired and that they would have to order the repair kit (sounds like a common problem to have a repair kit). The cost will be £150 which includes an offer from Porsche after my complaint. What get me is I had exactly the same problem on the other side last year.

Does concern me that a £100k car has a design fault that results in worn wiring and they don’t admit to it.

I would be interested to hear anybody else that has had this. Next thing they will tell me is that I need new wheel bolts due to the amount of times the wheels have come off to fix the wiring!

Surely thats a valid warranty claim? Can't believe they'd charge for that!

not accoeding to the people at Porsche who obviously love customer retention! If things go wrong in my line of business (drugs)you have to sort it out very quick as people can die and then put every procedure in place to let everybody know.

Shocking!

That’s sounds crazy how do you get worn cabling??? Surely that has to be covered by warranty.

Agreed. Must be a design/manufacture flaw, therefore should be covered, if not by warranty then as a Porsche goodwill gesture.
