Clutch replacement costs
Discussion
Does anyone have any advice on where to go for a replacement clutch on my 996 carrera 2?
At present I am based in SE London and have explored a couple of options.
Charles Ivey can do it for (and collect/return) about £800 plus VAT.
Portiacraft can do it for about £600 all in, but have to get it there and collect courtesy car.
What would other people recommend based on experiences with these dealers?
I have used Charles Ivey once before and it was a costly but pleasant experience and I'm unsure what to make of Portiacraft, although I did buy the car there once inspected by Peter Morgan.
Any views welcome!

I last paid £425 + VAT at www.uniteleven.co.uk who do most of my Porsche work and look after my race car. This may have gone up a little now and considering you're down south Portiacraft's price sounds good enough. Be prepared for a new RMS and intermediate shaft seal whilst they've got it apart - about another £50 of parts but probably no labour charge.

Thanks for that, at least I know a ballpark figure from "up-North" as it were, where things might be a bit more sensible than down here. Will take into account the other bits as someone did mention that at Charles IveyTa Mark
