how many people on here spec there new car so that it will be easy to sell rather than what options they would like to have knowning that you might get less for it when you come to sell it.ie going for lairy colours rather than "safe colours".

I'd buy what I liked , rather than what others told me they liked wink..

In fact ... I did.

I specced mine with what I wanted (xenons, bose, climate, etc) and then added a few things suggested by the sales guy - sports steering wheel, coloured wheel centres and auto -dimming mirror/rain sensor. Asked him specifically about sat-nav and he said it was not the essential some people made out and would not carry its value through to resale.

I had originally thought Atlas Grey, but when I saw it in the flesh it was too dark for my taste, so I went with Seal Grey/Black. This may be dull/boring, but it is actually one of my favourite colours - had a Dark Silver/Black Mini Cooper S and loved it also. Had thought about Cocoa for the interior but felt it wasn't worth the extra.

If you're buying your dream car, you may as well have it the way you want it.

Bought it exactly as I wanted it - downside of this is you will see less of your cash back come resale time...
