Hi Folks,

The retractable spoiler on my 964 doesn't appear to be working from the switch. Fuse is OK, what else should I be looking for?

check condition and continuity of the micro switches under the lid.

You say the switch? do you mean the rotary control knob on the central column? or the switch under the rear lid?? not al models have the switch in the cabin, earlier models 89ish didn't, hence my question.

I retro-fitted a 964 cover to my SC a little while ago

And have both micro switches here in front of me, if you think one of yours is faulty which is where I'd begin looking.

They are a the moving electrical part right by the hot engine after all

Let me know if you'd like them

Had exactly the same problem myself recently its been fixed at moment. In my case the ecu unit under the passenger seat that controls the spoler has broken and is been replaced.
Hope this helps.

That would be a pity.

Mines operated manually on a switch,
also not sure theres a voltage to check with car stationary
either,

as above says go on a bug-hunt looking for a damaged connector somewhere to start with

Cheers! Have done a bit of digging and the switch (centre console) seems OK i.e. it still didn't work when I swopped it for the diff lock switch.

As I don't have a meter(and wouldn't know what to do even if I had....) I'm not going to start digging I think a call to my local specialist will have to do.
