Just thought I would put a query to the masses .. I have had the front badge stolen off my car twice in two weeks and was just wondering whether this is the start of a new trend around the country ..or if it is just localised to me in South Wales.

They did a Masserati and a Ferrari that were parked nearby also, plus some other cars. They had theirs done last week as well.

I understand that some of the owners are contemplating offering a big reward for the return of their badges, preferably with the little teaf leaf's hand still attached to them!! I can understand how they feel .... it would probably stop it happening again for a while.

It's sadly very common and not just resticted to your area. There's every chance you will find your badge or one very much like it on ebay.

I replaced mine with a stick on paper version. I've had no problems since.

Had the bonnet badge nicked off the C4 a few years back.... and because my front drive was quite a way from the road (and hidden from general view), I do suspect an ex-girlfriend from the time though! yikes

Replace it with the 996RS badge - it's a sticker so you'll get a weight saving benefit too biggrin

Just managed to course a new badge off ebay for £8 .. and it comes complete with the backing and bolts ...

I`ve just realised how easy it would be to make the badge "live" ... its too tempting .. but I have no doubt that I`d be the one who ends up in prison for it!
