I currently have a 987 Boxster and did a lot of driving over the weekend with the roof down. I love the howl from the flat six and wondered what it would sound like with a sports exhaust. Anyone undergone this operation of is it not worth the money?

I know it wont souind like my Exige did but want it more aggressive or is a boxster the totally wrong car to have an aggressive exhaust profile?

Just had a switched PSE fitted to my 987 S and sounds great, burbly at low revs then a deeper note than standard raising to the trademark yowl as the red line closes in!

Im buying one of those exhausts from e bay, Oettles Tuning Shop. Guy welds bypass pipes from the backbox to the tailpiece similar to the PSE but it sounds much better.Theres a video clip on e bay.

Cheers Roy, I might just have to get me one. I'm an ex-TVR man and I do miss the noise.

No idea how to do a sound clip and the other one does sound good but I would say the PSE one is a more cultured sound and you can turn it on and off which is great on long journeys at motorway speeds...

Yeah PSE is nice to but maybe a tad exspensive and i have to admit easier to live with on long journeys. But being young i like the loudest best ha.

Hi Phil, Yes they do sound good. Only had the Boxster a month, once I'm back from Le Mans I will look into upgrading the exhaust. Thanks for the other link.
