I have an RS coming in September and recently read one of the only cautionary reviews of it. (they have generally been overwhelmingly positive).

The tester mentioned that many owners were changing setup, particularly to add negative camber, and while this obviously means that inner rear tire wear is an issue, it appeared to dramatically improve handling.

Has anyone this, or is it worth investigating?..this car will spend a ot of its life in Germany with periodic Ring visits.

my 996gt3 was set up with a lot of negative camber and i struggled to get 3000 miles out of the rear tyres.if you're going to be doing a lot of road miles i wouldn't bother unless your not to worried about replacing the rear tyres on a regular basis.if it's going to be more of a weekend toy/trackday weapon then go for it. (probably just stated the obvious though).
cheers martin ps 3000 miles was with canvas hanging out of the inner edge.lol

Be aware that Manthey like very quite pointy setups... whereas the likes of JZM dial in a more neutral handling setup.

Thats very helpful re Manthey. I personally would like a more neutral setup. Problem is that I am Canadian and am picking up the car on Euro delivery. )It will actually spend 60% of its time in Europe however), but I assume JZM is UK only location?
