We went out for a run in th car on saturday to a garden centre in derbyshire (yawn) but on the way back things suddenly brightened up as i found my rear view mirror filled £300K of carrera GT as i knew the road quite well and was on a tight twisty section i thought i would give it all i had (thought wouldnt get the opportunity that often) in 4th and 5th out of the last bend before the long straight (didnt make much difference) sounded awsome as he past me though

Now i know how all those scoobys feel (ouch!!!!!!!)

ps does anyone know any good tuners/BHP upgrades £££££££££££

do you want to know the cheapest upgrade that you can make which yields the most performance?

Driver training is going to make little difference for that exact situation when coming off a bend onto a straight against a supercar that has a few hundred BHP more.

Just sit back and enjoy the noise as the whooping commences.

Sounds like a lovely experience. Once had that on the track when a DeTomaso just left me on the start of a straight.

Pity you weren't in MOD500's or TB's 993TT - maybe they would have given the CGT owner a BIG fright!

Last time i went to Vmax i got pax rides in Martyn's car (MOD500) and a CGT.

In the CGT we crossed the lights at 191mph, in Martyn's 993tt (circa 540bhp i think) we crossed the lights at 194mph...

Big difference was the brakes. 993tt stood on it's nose and just barely got down to 50mph for the end of the runway, CGT came down to 50mph in half the distance with no drama and no fuss - absolutely unbelievable.

It can, however make a big difference to the speed before, during and after the bend.

I've been passed on track by plenty of drivers with much inferior hp and grip than my 993 due to speed carried through bends.

i think your 993TT already lose much on inferior tyre compound, and lower CG
