I have s 550 but as it's the only Boxster that I've spent more that 30 mins driving I'm not really able to offer a good judgement.

It does have the sports suspension which is 10mm lower than the standard 986S but I guess this option was available on any 986. The wheels have 5mm spacers all round but again this could be done to on any Boxster.

There is an extra 6bhp but I'm not sure is this makes any noticeable difference.

I'm certainly not trying to knock my own car as I think it's fantastic but I do also appreciate that with the exception of the extra power it is simply a standard 986S loaded up with lots of options and some (very nice) styling tweaks. I'm quite happy to tell my friends that it is much better than a standard 986S but they have also pointed out that it is the Porsche equivalent of a fully loaded end of model Focus, doh!

Agree. The 550 is built using Porsche's option list, adding 6 bhp and a GT silver paint (IIRC). Wedeking would have shot anyone who'd have wanted to engineer a special suspension set-up etc. just for this anniverary model
