Looking at a change, and been offered £27.5k on part ex for my 996 targa

As far as I know, the spec is as follows:

2002 61k on the clock, PSE, Sat Nav, upgraded stereo (used to be bose, took it out and put new stuff in), tip, litronics, park assist, colour coded interior (think its called ali pack or something?!), rear wiper, Extended warranty until May 2008, just taxed and MOT'd

Where do you think this would price privately, and is the part ex offer worth considering?

I'd go for 31-33K on a private sale considering the mileage and its a tip.

It's probably not a terrible trade-in offer IMO.

Yeah, its pretty much what i thought. £5k is half the deposit on the next car though so may give private a go i think

Fair trade in price but mileage does put it at 28-30k, i am no mileage snob but after 3 years of ownership - i would personally have that car at 100k miles which in my opinion makes it practically worthless to the masses BUT an option to the few enthusiats that may want it as a weekend toy or the track.

Joe Macari. To be fair, yet to discuss price on the next vehicle so it could easily end being a good part ex but no movement on the sale price, but time will tell

Lovely car, the 550 - I looked at a few a while back. Hope you've got deep pockets for the inevitable running costs....!

I suggest you look at the costs Harry Metcalfe had on his 550 in evo magazine....£2k is a 'bit' on the short side IMHO....nice car though; one of my faves!thumbup Also, try Verdi & Rosso Corsa...they usually have a few..yes

I remember the EVO 550 long termer - last article i read spoke of the long sevice times (upto 7 days i think) Brake pads/disks with new window wiper cost £3k i think at Ferrari although you will notice Verdi and the likes seem to offer fixed servicing which is on par with OPC priceing BAR the yearly cam-belt changes.

Guy from the company across from us uses his everyday and i cant ever remember it being towed away, i think it was the first Ferrari that could be used as an everday car and prices in Autotrader are starting at £37k which is tempting - I just didnt like its conservative looks.

I spoke to the guys at The Ferrari Centre, and they suggested £2k as well, but as already said, EVO's car cost a small fortune to run (although over a fairly substantial mileage). I think, so long as it's a weekend car, and nothing major fails, then £2k should cover the servicing. Thought about a warranty?
