Question for PCM specialist (sound setting in boxster s)
Discussion
I have no fader function on my PCM2....
Car is 2004 boxster S 550 spyder limited edition. It has the porsche sound pack.
It is really wierd.
i had a 2002 boxster S before that with PCM1 and the same options and it had the fader function!
Has porsche gone backwards??
I checked on the becker website and here is the manual:
http://www.beckerautosound.com/Porsche/03_04_carre...
click on 'Manual'
On page 40 it says Fader (vehicule dependent)... but this is not in my car...
Any idea if this can be retrofitted?
I had the rear speaker kit fitted and would like to channel more sound to the rear, but i can' t do it!
Can the fader function be uploaded to the PCM by a porsche dealer?

Did you have Bose in your old Boxster?
Although I didnt have PCM in my boxster I did have the sound package and found that the fader did not work as the speakers in the doors and dash run from the same line.
Only when you have Bose, and therefore a speaker "behind" you does the fader work.
Just a thought
